Piedmont Triad Regional Development Corporation (PTRDC)

The Piedmont Triad Regional Development Corporation (PTRDC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization tasked with implementing activities that further economic development and social welfare in the twelve-county Piedmont Triad region. The PTRDC is a federally-designated Economic Development District (EDD) and Local Development District (LDD) that promotes economic development and job creation by carrying out community and economic initiatives available to local governments and small businesses. Through this work, the PTRDC develops the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy which provides community input, partnership engagement, and regional data to describe the of the region.

Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)

The Piedmont Triad Regional Development Corporation (PTRDC) is tasked with developing and implementing the Piedmont Triad’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) to guide region-wide investments and support strategic initiatives. These goals and objectives embed regional cohesion and realistic approaches to equitably leverage all assets each county has to offer.

Local Re-Entry Councils & Regional Initiatives

The Piedmont Triad Regional Council engages with programs and initiatives to support justice involved populations as they return to society and the workplace. This includes serving as the Intermediary Agency for Local Re-entry Councils (LRCs) and engaging in strategic initiatives and partnerships to support creative solutions for barrier-reduction.
